In 2011 the lake was netted by the previous owner with a lot of roach removed and all carp over 20lb were returned to the lake. A couple of years later there was an additional stocking of about 30 carp, all between 20-30lbs which we have in the lake as of today, but obviously at an increased size. We estimate there is approximately 120–140 carp in the lake at the moment, with an impressive average of just under 39lbs for last season! We have a current policy of removing anything under 20lbs going into our stock ponds to feed on and will be returned to our main lake in the future. The lake is mainly stocked with mirror carp with a current record of 63.08lbs and quite a few commons with a lake record of 43.08lbs also a few leather carp with lake record of just under 30lbs. We believe, at the moment, we have 3 carp over 60lbs at the right time of year, 15 carp over 50lb+ and 50 carp over 40lbs, hence resulting in a great average for a small lake! So basically, any run you get could be a fish of a lifetime and a new PB!!!!!
