THE LAKE
Golden Oak is a beautiful, unspoilt water covering 5 acres set in a valley. A Sloped lawn leads from the accommodation to the lake
The lake has 6 swims, which are suitable for up to 4 anglers, 3 swims are in front of the gite so great for family life. In the main part of the lake the depth varies between 8ft - 12ft, with its far end shallowing to about 2 ft.
Each swim has a wooden pontoon to land fish along with weigh stations. There are no poisson chat or other problem species.
The original feeder river runs through the centre of the lake.
There are a few wooden picnic benches behind some of the swims for you to use. We also have two electric charging points for bait and phone charging only, one at each end of the lake.

Fishing is all on one side of the lake, which is grass banked, with the opposite bank tree lined, but the whole lake is accessible.
